Hot wire a corn store with electric fence to keep out rats?

I'm afraid i'm fighting a losing battle trying to keep rats from breaking in to my new sealed corn store. They've eaten though concrete and are now climbing up the vertical building steel beams and coming in through the roof.

In addition to other serious measures I am thinking of wiring an electric fence unit to energise the steel elements between 8pm and 6am. Has anyone done this before or can you please offer any useful help and suggestions?

Thank you.

Attaching a fencer to the shed frame will just send it to earth. Run a few strands of live round the outside just off the ground, nice big mains unit should zap the buggers.

Get in a pest control company to sort the rat problem out on your whole yard, it will make life much more pleasant for you.

I stopped counting at 40 one night as I watched rats walk along a beam, one behind another, called in pest control, haven't seen one since and this was years ago and i still have the same amount of spilt feed etc about.
