I'm expecting my delivery of a fridge / freezer and dishwasher tomorrow.

The dishwasher was only a fiver cheaper than AO.com but the fridge freezer was £75 cheaper.

AO are renowned for being cheap so even if it beats that by just a fiver thats a fair result IMO

good to see that brokering these deals are worth the effort for us and you guy benefit from them

Be very careful which white goods you buy. This is from yesterday's BBC News

Quote.
Consumers told to stop buying 'fire-risk' fridges

Of 26 Hotpoint models they examined, only one had fire-resistant backing. None made by Ikea had one, and of 12 Indesit models, only two had the safety feature.

By contrast, all the models made by Beko, Bosch, Grundig, LG, Miele, Samsung and Siemens were fully protected. Most of these have metal backs, but are more expensive brands.

Personally I have just very recently bought Bosch fridge, freezer, dishwasher and hob, partly due to the research I did on safety/fire concerns. I did not find equivalent models to be more expensive and I bought from a local dealer who also specialises in repairing the products.
Not wanting to dampen anyones enthusiasm or efforts, but I feel that product safety standards are of paramount importance, which was starkly highlighted by the recent tower block fire started by white goods, plus the unacceptable Whirlpool tumble dryer debacle which is ongoing even after more than a year with people told just to not use the appliances until they are eventually modified.

Hotpoint is a
Whirlpool brand along with Indesit, Creda, Swan and Proline, Maytag and Kenmore, plus others. It also makes some appliances for IKEA, which may explain the bold warning links about brands copied above.

This is a very serious issue and the advice not to buy these appliances is made by Which! the consumer organisation. It does not issue such a blunt warning lightly I'm perfectly sure.

cooker has landed today, there is a reason they are on offer it not as described on ther website, dose not have features it says,it is the same as the cooker they took away, which was 14 years old, they now don't want to know us:poop:

Can you email the details to [email protected] and I will speak to someone a little higher up for you. Price should be irrelevant if goods aren't as described.
