FW reporting baroness rolfe who is chair of our farm assurance body has called for lower food standards! I think covid/covid stress must be melting these peoples brain cells ffs

We don’t know what standards they have in mind.
If the standards for sizes and shapes were relaxed it would save a lot of waste.
You might also be able to buy a bag of unwashed carrots rather than the washed ones which lose flavour and don’t keep.
Lower standard doesn’t necessarily mean poorer quality.
Everybody assumes lower standards means we will be accepted ship loads of infected meat. I think that’s hardly likely. No government would risk that.
