Housing or permanent residence planning

Hello I have recently bought land and woodland, I have been wanting to set up my own farm, I have a few questions regarding planning permission.
The only issue with setting up my own farm is that it’s a fair drive to the farm when I do set it up,
is there and way I can make gaining planning permission on my woodland for a mobile home/ log cabin or for a new building to be sited ?

if I keep pigs, poultry, or goats is there a way around gaining residency on my property?
Hope this makes sense and hope for some feedback

You will need a business case that can show the holding can support you financially and that your presence on the holding will benefit the holding financially - that is called the financial test.
The other major obstacle is the functional test, you must be able to prove you need to live on the holding, it can't just be for convenience there needs to be a demonstrable need. You will also need to prove there is no property in the vicinity that would be appropriate.
Even then you may only be able to get a temporary permission for something that fits the Caravan Act 1968.
Hopes this helps.
