Hoverfly Larvae

Does anyone else get an annual plague of hoverfly larve around cubicles from the slats and slurry store, and has anyone a good idea how to stop or kill them. The little buggers seem to wriggle themselves big distances into the robot rooms and onto the cubicle beds. Lime on the beds doesn’t deter them, and I’ve no idea how to stop them gettin in the robot room.
any suggestions?

Started here with them this week.
Only tip I know is to keep any slurry/dirty water collection pits empty.

Rat tailed maggots, are the larvae of drone flies I believe, harmless and actually clear aphids off of crops
But must admit when maggot numbers swell its not attractive

Anyone else having plague like levels of them this year…I’m still looking for suggestions of how to stop, deter or kill them.

Mash them up and feed them to the cows. Full of protein

Its the future and something we are investigating

What are they worth a ton? Whole or crushed? Do they store ok once crushed?

I could have a couple of ton if I got them all gathered up

I'm actually being serious.
I expect within 10 years or so to be feeding insect protein as a direct replacement for soya.
Currently we are banned due to BSE but if that's lifted, i can see us farming flies or maggots using waste heat off an AD plant
