How can this be cost effective? Government bureaucracy at its best!

“As discussed over the phone, parcel SD————- has actions larger than the eligible land. In the SFI application (————),
SAM1 & IPM4 are for 2.8665 ha, but our mapping data shows the size of the eligible land cover is 2.8414 ha. As agreed over
the phone, a reduction of 0.0251 ha will take place.”

So the RPA have shrunk a field and they will be reducing our SFI area by 0.0251 ha for SAM1and IPM4 so the reduction is £1.28 per year.
Surely it will have cost them far more than £1.28 just get someone to make the phone call, let alone implement the change 🤷🏻‍♂️. This is for an agreement that’s already started as well so will probably post us new documents at god know what price, worlds gone fekin mad 🤦🏻‍♂️

Never underestimate a burecrats ability to spend hundreds collecting pennies ..
The world has indeed gone mad and its getting worse .
Maybe Rachel Reeves should tackle this sort of waste of time and money instead of going after pensioners fuel allowances ....

Yea they done a land inspection on us a couple of years ago. 2200ha of region 3 hill. There was a lad out with his iPad and antenna for weeks doing it. They came to the conclusion that we were claiming a few hundred pounds worth of ineligible area - rocks and pools of water mostly. I bet the whole inspection cost them several thousand to complete

Bureaucracy, ergo control, has no financial limits on it's application.

Why the hell aren't they doing that sort of inspection from satellite? Would probably be an afternoons work behind a desk.

Tried to dock me a few years ago, based on a satellite picture of a gravelly strip photographed in a drought. Tried to tell me I'd claimed for a road
