How difficult and how much to convert artic trailers from air bag to steel?

If it leaked you would be stuck and it’d be like having no suspension. May as well rip the bags out and replace with a bit of box section or a rubber block.

provided the bags were good wouldn't they stay up for quite a while? Perhaps a pto compressor would be a 'get out of trouble option for recharging the system.

Possibly but their would be no suspension with water as it doesn’t compress and the pressure spikes may pop the bag?

We have a couple of ex drag curtain side trailers on them (10 ton ) and they tow really well .

I did a twin axle low loader..
Wasn't a great success.
