How difficult and how much to convert artic trailers from air bag to steel?

Hi, I've heard about these conversion springs but people say the guy on eBay never comes up with the goods, has anyone had luck with him or do you know of anywhere I can try, any information greatly appreciated, cheers.

Totrax used to be the place to get them but not sure if they are still doing them !.

I had mine off them but I'm sure I heard they weren't any doing them any more.

Once the bags are pumped up do they stay up? Would it not be easier to fit a simple 12v compressor to keep it topped up

Hi, many thanks for the replies, but Totrax haven't sold them for several years and a friend said he could get a set of these springs but then couldn't and the trailer is stripped down already. Has anybody got any old ones on the shelf that I can copy?? Cheers.

where did you buy these replacements or did you make them up ?

You can get springs that fit where the bag was .

If it leaked you would be stuck and it’d be like having no suspension. May as well rip the bags out and replace with a bit of box section or a rubber block.
