Just bought a ih 454 with a quicke 2560 loader on.
I think I'm missing the legs to take it off.
There is this frame on the loader but it doesn't seem enough.

And these holes look like they receive something

I'm sure somebody must have had one.
Thanks in advance

There should be a frame with adjustable legs that fits up the two pipes with holes in in the second picture. You could probably fabricate something to do the job.

Once you have the legs in place you can tilt the bucket in order to get the pins holding the loader on to release.

To take the extending part of the loader off simply drop the stand and extend the legs. To take the whole of the loader off move the stand to where the holes are in your second photo, drive the fork into a stack of bales or similar before taking the pins out.

When I had one after putting the stand in while the bucket was jammed to a wall we took the pins out then lifted the frame a little before removing pipes. The issue then was the the pressure in the pipe, so a tap was fitted to isolate it after lifting, and then "float" the pressure before removing pipe.

The frame on the loader isn't the right size for the holes in the second picture although it looks as if it is made to be moved easily. IE it has a pin and R clip holding it on. But for the life of me I can't see any other fixing points.

from what i remember the frame has a bent pin on one side which goes in the outer hole of the RHS tube and the other side was a simple pin and R clip. It isnt a big lump that sits in those tubes, its does all work OK, but does rely on the oil holding it up or it creeps down.

alternatively pull the pipes and pins, slap the old gal in reverse, rev her up and pop the clutch;)

Mite take a bit of getting back on with this method though:scratchhead:
no actually, if you do it out on surface so its not damaged and somewhere with plenty space around it (in front particularly) then in the absence of another loader tractor /handler - put a rope or strap around the cross member between the two main loader arms and then hitch to a second tractor if you have one:rolleyes: then steadily tighten the rope and the loader will rise carefully to the height you need and will be safe as you drive the loader tractor into position and pin the loader on. There does need to be a heavy weight implement (bucket with gravel in etc ) also on,to stabilize it though.

If I get chance I'll try to get it off tomorrow. I do have my main tractor with loader should swearing and hand to head action be involved!
I'll let you all know how it goes.
Thanks for input.

Ok crowd the bucket up as far as it will go and shove it underneath a seed bag or something similar then take that frame from the first picture and insert it in the holes on the bottom of the bull bar in the second picture and extend the legs and tighten it up. Take your pins out then lift the loader up slightly then disconnect your pipes and back out.
