How do I tell whether a tractor is autosteer ready?

I know nothing about this but to my untrained mind there must be a standard sort of socket to plug into? Or is it different for different makes?

Which model?
Generally
MF will have a metal bracket on roof
As will NH and Case
Fendt, they have a steering wheel button on armrest
JD have a similar steering button on armrest
JCB too....

Don’t know about now ( I imagine all autosteer) but John Deere could be GreenStar ready and Autotrac ready. Caught someone out with a combine that was GreenStar ready and couldn’t steer.

It is normally mount on the roof ready for the dome of whichever brand.
All the looms will be factory fitted so there will just the the plugs for the terminal, again depends on the system used as to which plug type.
And most critically it will have wheel angle sensors and valves to operate the steering without the need for a wheel spinner.

JD Auto trac ready is an optional extra on many models, especially up to 6Rs. The wiring may be there but the steering angle sensor and expensive valve block won't be.

What would be required and how much roughly would it cost to get a 6630 up to full autotrac with new or 2nd hand gear?
Is this technology getting much cheaper?

This is a quote i got back in 2015 for a 6130R. Needless to say I didn't have it done!

BPF10346 Power harness £313.25

BPF10390 Roof kit £381.76

BPF10512 Autotrac field kit £2983.21

Labour to fit would probably take 3 days...at Retail = £1809

Thus total = £5487.22 +VAT

If it’s trimble generally you’ll see a plate on the roof and a wire hanging out the roof you can tell with case/new holland it’s towards the rear of the cab. Some also have ag ready steer stickers however they don’t seam to use stickers anymore. I don’t understand why all tractors over 180ho are not ag ready becaus it just cost a fortune to make one ag ready
