Yeah I have also had them the other way but if stacked correctly there is no issue. Nothing really beats walking but once the farm is a certain size it’s no longer practical.
You can get these clamps from most bike shops, they make a quad one as well, bloody great on a 2 wheeler (til you smash your knee on it) because with most reels you can lock back the pawl and tow the wire out as you go, if you're so inclined.

I like that, never seen em before. Brought a container over in September, should have thrown a couple in.
