How Do You Clean Your Tractor, Or Dont You?

How it sits right now. Bearing in mind I’ve just unhitched the trailer and been in and out of stubble all day.

It’s 7 months old. Approx 300 hours at the moment.
However my last one was 5 years old and exactly the same inside and out.

Great looking tractor and I applaud the effort you put in to looking after your kit.
I don't clean mine however even if I did they would never look like that. Due to buying them at 10 years old with 8000 hours on. I could only aspire to being the third owner of your tractor and the second owner probably will not have treated it the way you do.
If I win the lottery......... :)

Whats this ceramic coating you mention??
You can apply ceramic coating in two ways. The best way is to have your whole vehicle paintwork. Corrected first. This involves a machine polish with a cutting compound to remove a tiny bit of clear top coat to remove any scratches. You then need to keep the vehicle inside away from dust for 24 hours. You apply the ceramic coat and let it cure. This will cost £500 upwards at a minimum. The other option is to fully clean and decontaminate the paint by using various chemicals . You then apply a ceramic wax , leave for a few minutes then buff off. This is a compromise and lasts 3-4 months . It has hydrophobic properties so the muck doesn’t stick. My wife’s car has option 2. Mine has option option 1. Mine is easier to clean .

Why is that exactly?? No time or just no interest?
I find pressure washing blasts off paint which then rusts. Quite easy to blast water into seals And bearings and wiring plugs.. A wash and oil before the winter and at the end of the winter sound a good idea though.

What do you cleaning buffs use to clean / polish /protect the shiny plastic mud guards and bonnets on your tractors please.
I use this Korrek Pro Polymatrix Ceramic thingy for protection. Don't know if it's available outside of Finland though.

Cannot find it on a uk site to buy.
Here you go, the world is your oyster.

@Dman2 sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Have been out sorting one on my brother’s tractors but I see Rob has given a detailed reply

Used to be a product called Amor all that used to give plastics a clean and protection, think it's still available

armour all is very common & popular here.

we even use it on hand basins & toilet bowls in public toilets ( I work with Parks & Gardens in local Council ) so “sh!t doesn’t stick” & they are easier to clean

Is there anything that can be put on red/orange machinery to stop them fading? Haven't got the space for everything in side and it kills me watching the paint fade.

I use their cab wipes. It doesn’t take long just to nip road whilst you’re fuelling up or stopped for a sandwich. A tractor dealer once told me that wd40 was good for faded plastic like mud guards and fuel tanks, I’ve not tried it but did use back to black once but then the dust just clung to everything really badly.

back in the day, I’ve known people here to use diesel & a rag to bring back a bit of colour to faded paintwork on gear that is out in the weather all year

sunshine is the biggest killer of paintwork here . . .

I bet it is. You see a lot of case tractors that have pink roofs around here.
