Managed to get a 590 sorted out that the promised V5 never arrived for, the history was quite illuminating....... Massey specialist did the leg work not sure what system they found it on but the details all tied up.

Owners club were not very helpful and warned of dire consequences and huge potential tax implications if no proof of import tax being paid was available (french built unit)

the old fellow that had the 135 before got it in the 70's, an it was his grandsons selling it to get a bigger tractor but they had no idea about the papers, if its a case of taking photos of the WHOLE tractor an sending it in that will have to wait shes in bits getting painted

As long as it was at some time registered it is possible

When dealer came back with a plate it turns out our 590 was written off previously

Once we had a reg number applying for the V5 was simple.

I had a similar issue with a MF 698 with no registration plate or v5. I spoke with DVLA and they said get a form V62 and fill in all details possible, and include a letter explaining the situation. I obviously I didnt fill in the reg number part.
I then received a letter from dvla requesting photos of the tractor serial number which i took and then sent to the indicated address at DVLA, I received a v5 for the tractor about a month later.
The whole process took about 6-8 weeks but I found out the registration number and got the v5 in the end.
If DVLA does not have a record of your 135's serial number on file you will need to get a new age related registration number and for this friends of ferguson heritage can help by provided the required dated letter.
Good luck
