How does one remove failed blind bearing outer casing?

As above, a blind/flushfit bearing has disintegrated on my firewood processor, how do I get the outer casing out that remains. I have looked at some YOU Tube videos, that show that if a bead of weld is applied to the outer casing they just fall out, does that really happen???? Needless to say I don't have a welder ,which led me to ask about welding and welders on another thread.

Weld inside outer race. Let it cool, then it falls out. Done it several times.

Yes every time , don’t need a lot of weld , get some one to pop in and do it even a 13 amp plug in will do it

Once saw a man knock a spigot bearing out of a flywheel with some bread. Yes bread!
Just kept stuffing bits of bread in behind the bearing and then using a tight fitting drift to compress it. Then stuff more in and compress. Eventually there was so much bread compacted behind the bearing, as he hit the drift it forced the bearing out.
Guess the bread has some fluid characteristics

Only works in a morning though  - after dinner nobody has any bread left in their pack up box :(
