You do seem to get your share of inspectors and then some. You are doing the region a service as they are too busy trying to deal with you to chase or hound anyone else?!
we suspect it's all down to our vegan friend, 12 months now, the bitch has been prowling round, and only found the 1 big issue, that wasn't, council drains blocked, we can't shift them, and they won't, coupled with verges, the road gets muddy, and, it's not our mud. Pretty certain, if complaints are made, however frivolous, eventually you will get a visit from an agency, we have since found out, she was ringing min, rspca on a very regular basis, and being 'ignored', we know she rang min, rspca and vets 10 days ago, re an unattended cow, in agony, struggling to give birth, vets immediately rung us, who we sent back a photo, of cow stood up, licking her calf, her anti farming phobia, began, when on her regular walk, not here, the footpath went past a farm, that shot all bull calves, and left them by the path. This is all logged with police, and if she continues, they will become involved. Ballache.

So whats your plan ?
Managed to sneak a few load out with tanker today to take pressure off to weekend. Heavy rain forecast tomorrow 😏🙁 we have free draining land that we can get on, but it’s got the last of the grass for the woolies and driest 12 acre still has 56 spring born calves on. What is has been skinned by the sheep is on a bank and I think probably too wet to get on with the cord. So I have options, just not the ones I want 😂

where's your 2ft free way ?
SFP arrived, since we had an AE man chasing us, and according to him, correctly, we had 'broken' the NVZ rules, buy not having the 2ft freeway, full to brim, and had had to spread some in the 'closed' period, we expected a deduction, happily not !
One of the issues, to much 'clean' water going into the lagoon, 73%. So we have been putting guttering up, reversing the way it flows, to divert away from concrete. Well into it now, heavy rain today, the volume of water, coming off the roofs, staggering, unbelievable really, certainly inspired us to do more !
The EA man, is giving us hastle, over the size of the lagoon, our, his bosses and promar measurements, do not agree with his, taken from the aerial photo's, we actually agree, they are not the same, but, if we admit to illegally enlarging the lagoon, without planning /EA permission, and not a massive increase, the likelyhood is we would have to empty it, test the ground, probably line it, and put the sides, at 45 degrees, instead of 25, ground there is solid.

If you’re a member of a union, have a word with them , as I’d say this EA chap has a vendetta against you, they could put pressure on him from above.

how much do you stir, we are in the wrong, for a start, perhaps i should have added, condemned 2 silage pits, no effluent tank, haven't had a problem 30/40 years, one concrete, i stone bottomed, £12,000 to put effluent pit, at rec size, in. Strong supporter of LGBT, not anti at all, but don't like having it pushed at me, highly likely to be a vegan/veggie, transferred from london, to the country side. In fairness, gutters are correct, the results are quite shocking. However, everything is done by the rule book, in correspondence, he will cut and paste whole sections, somewhere, a stand will have to be made, in fact, what we are doing, was his bosses recommendation, his figures are rule book ones, no practical knowledge, what so ever. We have taken on a tenancy, of 60 acres, non NZ, that alters things, but, just grin and bear it, and ask him to bring his boss out, again.

I've had the visit and they are now using the 2018 farming rules for water regulations 4 1. That you can only spread slurry when a crop need and I'm not in an NVZ. Their interpretation is that means you can only spread slurry if you would be happy to spread bagged N.
Double bonus we have diverted heaps of rainwater out our dirty water and they have decided it is to nutrient rich to be spread without a crop need even though it only comes from approved dirty water sources

Our grass is growing more now than it did in May

So your pit may be full, but you’re not allowed to spread, what did they suggest for the here and now? :scratchhead:

To be compliant by Oct 21. Fortunately pit isn't full because I have been spreading when ground allows and Italian that has been spread is a lovely dark green compared to the unspread.
Problem is plans are in place to be investing for clean air strategy for 2022/3 and potential grants. Now have problem that may have to invest this year and build something that won't be compliant in 2025.

i ought to have added, hes been told no need for him to measure pit, so, in oct, wanted us to empty the lagoon, and pay a surveyor to measure it, because he is desperately worried we have not got 5 months storage..............closed period for spreading NVZ, sep 15 to jan15, saving this gem, if things get worse ! He also wrote in july, re silage pit, saying we probably filled it with 1st cut.........after 'condemning' it, he's either clueless, or sneakily sly. Not over worried now, we are 'legal', it's only the lagoon that is iffy.

I believe there are over 200 planning applications held up in Somerset due to the applications all flowing to the levels. This is houses as well all due to phosphate loading of the SSI.
