How is your slurry storage filling up with all the wet weather?

Should be ok here for another month at least. Passed a farm today where the lagoon was full to the brim , and 3 weeks to go before you can spread (in the nvz).

Was running over this morn, took 20k gallon out with the tanker (jetted over hedges) and it hasn't dropped an inch.:(

If we get 2 dry days together we will spread some on a riverside field.

I can't complain the grass we've had for the lambs, haven't wanted to spread slurry on good grass,we pumped 250k gallon onto a neighbours at the start of December,he's welcome to it.(y)

One of ours is pretty well full, but luckily being organic we don't have a closed period. Taking some out at the moment. Making a bit of a mess though, but we have a field well away from the river.

WTF does organic poo not wash off down rivers then! I am always surprised by people outwits nvz areas just lambing t n willy nilly, I can't see that it does much good going on in January doesn't matter how hard it is underfoot. How much of the nutrition is lost? I know it costs a lot to put a roof on and keep rain water out of all the yard areas but surely with the price of fert its worth doing. I know that if I had access to s much god stuff I would make the most of it.

I would like 12 months storage (was going to build another lagoon but put things on hold) I don't mind giving it my neighbour in the middle of winter,no way I would give any away when its growing season.

We were in an Nvz then they chucked us out.(y)

The whole nvz thing is very poor really. I can't understand why people can spread slurry, dung and even inorganic N on any day they want, but then further down the same water catchment they have severe restrictions!
