How heavy is a quadrant bale of hay?

Just for you @Bury the Trash , I calibrated the scales on the new load bars and weighed a few bales tonight. A 7'6" quadrant bale of hay was 318kg. An 8' quadrant bale of Spring Barley straw was 325kg (we've always worked on 3 to a ton, so just about right). I was surprised the hay was about the same, I had always assumed it was heavier than straw. Learn something every day.:)

A 4' chopped (Fusion) silage bale at 60%DM was 494kg.

What can I find to weigh tomorrow......:woot:
I believe you sold the hay as 3 to the ton .as the above shows this as incorrect you best alter your wording or you could be done by weights and the measures
