How is Brexit for you?

This has nothing to do with Brexit and was open to all EU countries. Indeed Germany I believe were so frustrated with the centralised process and lack of urgency that they have made their own arrangements as have several Eastern European nations.
They made a hash of it early on but now that vaccine production is ramping up very quickly indeed they will soon catch up. Or at least they have the opportunity to catch up.
Germany , France and Holland ordered before they joined the EU pool.

Actually they don't have to. It is no great shakes to them if the EU want fewer doses. That will mean more doses for other countries.
Well in that sense , yes. It also gets them out of a tricky deal.
However, if the American FDA trials show anything less than good efficacy where does that leave the elderly when lockdown is lifted?

But the efficacy has already been proven.
By the fourth week after receiving the initial dose, the Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines were shown to reduce the risk of hospitalisation from Covid-19 by up to 85 per cent and 94 per cent, respectively.
ata on vaccine effect was gathered between 8 December and 15 February. During this period, 1.14 million vaccines were administered and 21 per cent of the Scottish population had received a first dose based on Scottish Government prioritisation.

The Pfizer vaccine has been received by some 650,000 people and 490,000 have had the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

The vast majority of these 1.2 million people are over 70 years of age.

Post 568 Covid vaccine rollout. I have no reason to lie to you to prove a point.
No need for an apology but an aknowlegment would be nice.
Had to go and look as hadn't seen it written on a different thread
"Saw a post on the skiing forum I'm on who lives in france said only 300 out of 4500 invited to have the AZ jab bothered to turn up,"
I was talking about this thread where you put France doesn't want it. We actually cross posted as you were putting "explaining 3 times" etc.with no reference to the other thread. I understand we were talking at cross purpose as now I've read that thread . So I apologise for the misunderstanding.
As to your friend on the other forum is this heresay or is there anything official?
As Brittany only received a total of 14000 doses in the whole department! Around here people are waiting their turn but deliveries are insufficient.

The vast majority of UK citizens are also awaiting their turn.

If I could find links to the data in a couple of seconds, I'm damned sure they can. Let's be frank here, it is no concern of the UK whether France or the US want or use the AZ vaccine. They can use it or not. There are plenty of other choices currently.

No idea how true it is, we've both just read it as he posted it. Hopefully we all get up to speed, the sooner we all get jabbed the sooner we get back to normal.

Be realistic. The government's do what their health authority's tell them. If they don't receive it officially they won't pass it as efficient. When the FDA report then it may change.

Hope they can get the vaccines out faster
After a slow start, France's vaccination campaign has gained some momentum with more than 2.5 million people receiving a first dose and, of those, over 1.1 million a second dose

Oxford jab 85% less admissions to hos, in over 65's WHO
germany, 3800 doses of oxford jab offered in one vac clinic,/day, 200 people turned up, at that centre
lets be honest, VDL and macron, and commission f'ed it up, and were desperate to shift blame off them, UK's success was an easy target, so knock that, then wonder why people wont have it.
The refusal of VDL to resign, sums up all that is wrong with the EU. Unfortunately, one of the last nails in it's coffin.
But, the longer it takes to restart the EU economy, the more it plays silly buggers over the trade deal, the better for us, us silly idiots who left, who are building another world outside of europe. Who will be the next to leave, Sweden, Denmark, Holland or France ? Quite certain Liz Truss would like to talk about a trade deal, with any of those countries, with the exception of France.

time will tell. The eu, has yet to learn, it has lost a huge amount of income, from our departure, perhaps more importantly, the smaller northern states have lost 'their' partner, they relied on the UK voting power in the parliament, as an ally. They are worried france and germany have no real opposition now. But, good luck.

No difference here so far.
I suspect the chances of 15 million brits having their covid jab in Feb would be a dream if we had still been in Europe. How do you put a price on that ?

Got semen to go to sweden shortly & enquiries for cattle to NI. Would like to think in a couple of months some common sense will prevail with the paperwork & bureaucracy
What has europe gotto do with covid jags?
