Not too bad thus far ,as its been fairly cool for the time of year but famous last words i fear as if it warms up they will come big time,.. if allowed ,as its very dirty everywhere here atm, water squishing under your boots as you walk o_O
Extremely heavy thunder rain today and im not sure what affect that mightve had on the pouron that has been applied a week or 2 ago.

FECKING TERRIBLE!!!
lambs hardly a maggot on them but the ewes are really bad. Shoulders and middle of back on clean ewes. This last 7 days they’ve got everywhere. Got 430 more too shear this week then can breath out for a week before dipping. Normally shear most ourselves but I’m not fit this time so all waiting on contractors. They do lots when they get here but the rain isn’t helping.
Younger brother had too have a crash course in shearing maggoted ewes a fortnight since. Going around everyday now on the woolly ewes.

Last week picking lambs and a few had little patches on their backs just starting even though they had click beginning of May think it’s 16 weeks cover!

Mine are pretty good at the moment, lambs cliked in may, yearling cliked straight after shearing and ewes are being crovect now when ever they come in. I will shear all the ewe lambs and all the small stores that are being keep in 3 weeks. And put some crovect on any that are being sold as stores in the August/September sales.

All ewes and lambs sprayed last fortnight. Shear end may beginning of June so they don't really get a chance to get going. Only get issues with lbs from now onwards. And only then it's if I've forgotten to top them up.

Touch wood, all ok so far barring some tiny wrigglers found at shearing. Lambs sprayed during the last fortnight as each group picked from and vaccinated.

Hill singles were sprayed for fly/tick cover back in April with Dysect. Cover ended over the weekend (actually had it in my head it would end next weekend, until I checked my diary), 2 lambs look struck this morning so they're gathered in to do this afternoon. Just heading off now to get more pour on

Everything else has good cover for a few more weeks yet, so should take them to weaning.

Very hot and humid here so I'd be expecting hell if they're not sprayed
