Easy...If he fails you on it then ask him if he's fit and well then calibrate the probe against his 98.4. Box ticked.how does everyone test their temperature probe?
Where do you insert it in that situation?Easy...If he fails you on it then ask him if he's fit and well then calibrate the probe against his 98.4. Box ticked.
Before he knows what's happened it's all over.Where do you insert it in that situation?
But you shouldn't have to.I used to stress over it, lose sleep, etc. Don't anymore.
The critical failure points are covered by law anyway, so need to be fairly up to date.
Just ballocks to the rest, if RT decide to send a "coconut", then we shall just have to rectify whatever their pet peeve is.
Life is too short to get wound up over this crap.
No, Just compare one against another. If they don't agree borrow a third?has the thermometer been checked by someone else, calibrated and recorded?
Took it to the supplier of such equipment, along with the moisture meter. They just put it in a bucket of water with a thermometer .how does everyone test their temperature probe?

Tho I now have the official certificate I can photo copy each year
How do you know that’s accurate, what a load of shite.ill have to remember that oneI write down that I Icompere it against a thermometer
What’s a moisture meter clinic. I just tell them that I calibrate it with 2 neighbours .I forgot to attend the moisture meter clinic which would have been half a day in itself and a gallon of fuel.
Instead I was busy doing something trivial like getting my T1 on or repairing a machine.
I’d estimate it takes about a fortnight extra per year of faffing about over and above the basic minimum legal requirements we have to meet anyway.
Is that because you use central storage?I keep chucking stuff in a folder , sort it out week before they come , not arduous just pointless .
I'm considering the same. Currently only on temp storage scheme so have to shift crop out - sell or into storage scheme.I’ve dropped all RT don’t need it for breeding sheep and I get £5+/t less than you guys but I can store my grain in a shed, that would be classed as temporary by RT, for longer and try and make up the few pounds that way.
For the time being my view if feck all of them.
Sums it up innitHow do you know that’s accurate, what a load of shite.ill have to remember that one
nick...
