Someone should take up the challenge and plough a 10 acre field with fergy tractor and plough .do your calculations then!
i drill every year with a 3m Fiona box drill on a massey 165, one year I did 100acre in 3 days, I had a red face from heat off the exhaust and plenty lipsill!!!
20 acre is a long enough day, 25 if its only 2 fields I'm always filling up with seed at only 250kg! and getting off to do tramlines fro 21m!

Yes but vast numbers more and they were high tech then and didn't cost 1000 tonnes of wheat.

What were you hanging about for?
Did 75 acres drilling with a 4 metre MF 30 and that was putting on fert as well. Behind a IH 785. All 1 cwt sacks too. I was a lot fitter then :)

i can turnover 80 inches with a total gross weight of approx. 5.5 tonnes...that's tractor, plough and ballast....;)

anything round here that i cant plough with that outfit in good enough conditions isn't viable for sustainable arable cropping.

What tractor and plough is that?
My tractor is 3.5 ton, plough less than a ton , 56 inches every time, 4x14 inches, oh and under 100 hp
At work 200, at least, around 8/9 ton, turning 80 inches, 5x16 inches
