How many sheep will it keep

A 430 Acre upland /hill Farm all ground over 1000ft made up of 100 Acres of mowing ground 200 Acres of walled in ground and 130 Acres of wet peat Rushey allotment ground how many sheep will it keep or how many sheep would you put on it and want to breed are own replacement

Start at 400 ewes and 120 hoggs, and try to take some cattle for summer grazing on a headage basis. I presume the 300 acres inbye are in a number of enclosures.
It's all in one ring fence and one lot of the 300 acres is 67 acres and a 40 acres a 25 acres 2 19 acres a 16 acres and so on down to a 3 acres field

Where is it?

That'll get the neighbours talking in Derbyshire. In 1960, Captain Bennet Evans on Plynlimon Fawr was selling welsh-Mountain store lambs in Aberystwyth for half a crown (12.5p) /head.
My grandfather and father have fond memories of the man. "The man's a gentleman!" I can still hear them now.
As you drive past the farm now the is a big sign "Mountain Lambs are Sweeter!"

I run 10-12 ewes+ lambs per hectare, rotationally grazing year round, daily mpves, very high stocking density, no hay and per ewe €8.50= one bag of pellets/feed/minerals per ewe per year.
Ground is located at 750ft very poor pp
Ewe: mainly Skudde (aseasonal shetland) and shedders.

Not allowed to apply fert.

Depending onze your ewe size and grazing management skills you should be able to run at least 1k ewes.
If you are able to apply fert and improve the lot I think that that is still far from the limit.
