How many TFF members would support something like this?

The “No flipping Use” should have had this nailed months ago. No fight when the bank account is flush.

Don't wind up young aka Guy Smith on who :No flipping use actually is lol as he has accused just about everyone on TFF who has said anything negative about the NFU as being the said poster and Guy and the NFU are apparently none the wiser who she/he is.. ( and neither do any of the rest of us know who this poster is either even for the want of guessing )

How many people does that pay ?

its all in here if you want a interesting read about where all your membership subs go

Staff numbers was 797 up 40 on the previous year all contributing towards the 10 million £ pension fund also outlined in that document

Interesting bit in the auditors reports identifying that BREXIT is the single biggest threat THEY face as an organisation - maybe explains why they were so opposed from day 1 ?

also a bit shocked to see the NFU mutual insurance which I've always thought was not financially connected seemingly contributing 6.2 million £ of "other income" ?

In summary it looks lIke a bloody good organisation to work for and they are anything but short of money ! no wonder so many are so keen maintaining that status quo

What about a student who is doing media studies,we need to connect to the public. At the moment all the public see is farmers moaning, farmers been blamed .We need to put across that its peoples livehood ,their passion,we do care .From family farms that have put everything into their farm, work for very little but are proud. To the large farms who employ staff again these are people with families ,people who are proud to produce food.Show we are human ,show how much of our lives go into our work.We want to produce quality food, but just like life it’s at a cost, something we have no control over. Its not about the largest farm, the newest machinery ,poshish house or car it’s about the people who 24/7 think about their livestock, their land, their neighbourhood. We do care but the public need to see us all as a human being just like them.Sorry it flipping raining again,

My daughter is doing media and produced her own travel vlogs with some success. I’m sure she would be up for helping in some form for some pocket money.

She had some top cameras and will also soon have a drone.

But don’t underestimate how long it takes to produce a 3 min clip. It can take hours and hours.

Here are some of her clips

We approached AHDB about creating a 'TopGear for Farming' style production, there was interest in taking credit but no interest in funding it.

The tricky thing about these projects is finding a return on investment for someone, as that's what everyone is in it for.

Perhaps us crowdfunding it ourselves would be a better way to go, but it isn't cheap.

Their latest accounts are interesting - wage bill up over £2.1 million last year to £20.6 million

You really would expect some amazing results with that kind of resource to hand
This says it all.

As for the OP, I'll bung in £100, if it can be made to work well. But, I really don't think this is the best way to change public attitudes to and fight misinformation about farming; as discussed elsewhere recently, the 'leading' opponents need to be targeted and taken to task, lose them their public credit and it's more than half the battle won.

These things are a great idea and exactly what we should all be doing and contributing towards as farmers

BUT

ideas are cheap, action costs

costs being both time and money

TFF is not a lobbying organisation, it's simply a platform we provide for you to exchanges knowledge and ideas, we are facilitators nothing more

What I would suggest is that maybe a member (or group of members even better) volunteers (or is elected) to make stuff like this happen. We (TFF) will help and work alongside any such initiative and leverage any network and resources / expertise we can to help and can also help with setting up and promoting stuff like crowd funding etc. What we can't do is it all though, we are not paid to, have no mandate and really don't have any more hours left in our days to be filling in the gaps frustratingly being left by others who do have the cash and resources. Guys like @Chris F and others that make TFF possible have a mortgages to pay and as passionate as they all are about UK agriculture that has to be their priority focus, they are not volunteers and myself included we just dont have enough time to do all these kind of things which in a perfect t world we would all absolutely love to

The infographics we produced are crying put for someone to organizes getting made into gate sized banners or trailer stickers etc and with crowd funding or finding a sponsor for that maybe possible ? , the video above is another excellent example but as @Robt says one is not enough, there needs to be loads of such things being made and done all the time

We are up for it if you guys are ? But be under no illusion this needs people and money to achieve

If people want a little video like the one above, just look up who is backing ($) the “US farmers and ranchers alliance.”
