Sadly dictates our rotation so we don’t grow second wheats which will drastically reduce our wheat area. Given the forward prices it’s very annoying but might have a punt on a large area or spring wheat. We always get better yields from spring barley through. We’re going to try some rye as a second cereal and some winter Beans for the first time in years. The OSR isn’t growing either as too dry, again annoying looking at forward prices. Still, they always say do the opposite of everyone else so while you’re all chasing acres or wheat and OSR I’ll be the barley baron !

Less wheat next year, think the land is sick of wheat everyone I’ve spoken to around here has had bad yields and ready for a break . With N prices being so high a cheap to grow crop might be worth thinking about.

Very disappointed with second wheat yields this year, but mainly variety concerned. Long term averages says stick with lots of winter wheat, blackgrass allowing.

I find WW is actually better for blackgrass control than many other crops. Winter wheat had good winter pre-ems and Atlantis still works fairly well here too.

Spring barley is a waste of time for pre-em due to weather, and Axial does nothing on BG
Beans are looking more tricky going forward with Kerb disappearing.
