Just in the research phase. I see reasonable second hand McHale fusions are around £35-40k. Would it be better to go for a proper big combi baler than a smaller combi baler like the I bio I mentioned? Can you incorporate chopped bales easily into a tmr? What horsepower would pull a combi baler on flat flatish ground? I see the technical data on the website suggests 109hp minimum on the pto.

Apparently not very well, i know of a farmer that kept his old mchale baler for straw!! they use the bio just for silage.

Plenty fusions bale straw around here but undoubtedly not as tight as a belt baler. We drive ours with 6130r with half set of knives on pretty banky land. If you can get a fusion as we had one if the early bios and they are not in the same league as a fusion and almost as expensive.
