How much for wintering cattle

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what's a reasonable price to pay for housing some bullocks over the winter .I'd be supplying my own silage and feed and the cattle would be bedded on woodchip that's already in the shed.Ive looked up a few old threads on this subject and answers ranging from a £1 a head per week (which sounds very reasonable) up to £2000 to rent a shed ( just not happening)
I'm thinking there must be a standard going rate across the board for this if anyone can help I'd appreciate your feedback .

Presume you mean you are looking to rent a shed to house your cattle in rather than you are renting your shed out to someone else? £2.50-3.00 head/week i'd have thought depending on size of beast and how good facilities are, assuming your providing the labour as well as your own feed.

Bit more info?

Is it your taking your bulls somewhere for winter and your dropping off a trailer load of silage every other day and there feeding it out with there machines and checking the stock every day and responsible
For any problems... or is it your doing all work involved and they're just providing a shed?

Local boy had an old cubicle shed and put it up for rent, I enquired he told me he wanted £12000 a year:eek:, told him I wouldn't buy it for that

Landowner near me has inherited a large amount of land and buildings etc. He has been told by an agent cattle sheds are worth £1/sq ft per year.

£3.50 head /week if your providing feed and bedding minimum . A lot depends on who is doing the bulk of the work and who is having the muck at the end, and the layout of the sheds, as in how easy or hard it is to feed and bed. Another thing to remember is water.
Is it bore hole or metered, as a big bunch of cattle can soon drink a big bills worth, especially if on very dry feed.

Probably need them to feed them for me during the week . I'd bring enough silage and feed at weekend and just need them to feed and push up silage through the week

There's a guy near me and he would winter 200+ away from home,in various places, and he pays £6/week all in which I think is exceptionally cheap but people seem happy to do it.
If he's feeding them for that price I'll go there . Most people are telling me £2 a day for B&B
