How do you get that to feed in the header & not wrap up around everything?

Just finishing the beans here then just the linseed to go...

'tis magic ;)

top notch operator, new knife, vario retracted so short table, fingers edged up with angle grinder when knife is out, VERY tight feed auger sheer bar setting and good desiccation several weeks earlier than you would think you should do it

just started having a nibble again at ours now - steady progress but will keep ticking off a few more acres until tomorrows forecast rain and the deluge forecast again for wednesday

We tried and it bridged over the augers in the tank and stood up nearly verticaly so took that as a sign its a bit wet to have another go tomorrow!

Much less for here, subject to usual UK rubbishness. 2mm forecast for the weekend turned into 10mm and that seems to be vanishing quickly. Might see what tomorrow brings in terms of sunshine.

sowing the lawn tomorrow hopefully - most important job on the farm right now !

we didn't start linseed until 2pm today - over night rain and heavy dew took a while to shift, I expect similar tomorrow
We are going to have a go at about lunch tomorrow with that forecast in mind. Pleased to say apart from the entrance into the fields the ground will travel well despite the rain so hopefully just the linseed to worry about.

getting a decent run at it this afternoon, very wet though but needs must, driver is needed on a drill ASAP now

Chopping Linseed ! I only did that the once, what a nightmare to sort out! Simba 2B discs wouldn't even cut through the mat ! Raked the headlands in in the end and used the trusty Swan Vestas ;)

Will drill wheat straight in with the 750a - never a problem in the past

Worst possible thing you can do with linseed straw is try cultivate it

Soil after linseed is in lovely condition as always

Solo never had any problems in linseed straw. Will chop mine and *ahem* plough it in or just run a cultivatr through it - spring oats to follow.

Finished today, lovely sunny day but wheat still at 24.5%, finding plenty of sprouting in sample ( Leeds) all standing sprayed off for 3 weeks.

Lots of conbines going last few days but haven't herd of anything cut below 24%, some been cutting at 30% +. A few people finished today, I know of 4 local farms with 400ac of wheat each left.

best bits 1.5t/ac - worst bits as low os 0.3 - not totted up weighbrodge so far yet but I think will do circa 0.75-0.8t/ac at a best guess right now

its was FSS, herbicide, 110kgs N, glyphosate and harvest so its doesn't owe me too much thankfully
