probably about 85% I have the N in store for my normal full rate but they aren't really pushing the boundaries ( I very rarely get any lodging) so probably won't make my final decision until N2 or even N3 and it will depend on perceived potential and where the market is at the time.

I’m trapped into making a decision on rates before seed goes in the ground. All applied pre seeding usually gives best results in a normal year. It’s such a short season anything that holds a crop back for even a few days can be a hit To yield. Tried the split applications and got burnt a couple of times with no rain for a month.

We were sown up in good conditions when this hit us , luckily my buddy @silverfox told me to get it bought ,
He's wiser than me , my rep said it would collapse by spring ....

The n spend will be higher
but the n rate will be lower
the last 50 kgs of n costs £ 75 but is only likely to increase yield by .3 t per ha at £ 200. Only £ 60 a loss of £15
On milling wheat if the last N isn’t there for protein that 15 loss could turn out to be a lot more. All my wheat is destined for the feed mill so protein isn’t a factor im paid on. But in a year when milling premiums are running high it Would be a nice pay day.

all n bought here , might cut back a bit but not much . still pondering on rip off MOP prices, fungicides and pgr might cut back 10 - 20 % on what our rolls royce agronomist recomends.

We had a delayed drilling season and because the weather can go either way here I only buy some nitrogen up front. The result was a complete change in policy and no wheat drilled. I have only barley and triticale in the ground and am planning 120 units of N on those instead of 160 on wheat.
