How much straw left to bale?

I've still 48 acres of straw to bale ideally small bales, but if we get a miracle & some cold dry withering winds it will be quickly round baled.

Am I the last?

Latest I've ever baled was last week in Feb 2013 just before the beast from the East. It was better than you would imagine, of course needs to be snuff dry to kill any moulds.

Did you mean 2018? We just drilled our spring barley into perfect conditions after grazing stubble turnips. Then had breast from east and stuff we drilled end of March did so much better. Less weedy too?

Beast from east was 2018 but March 2023 was coldest March since 1963. Was bitter with snow and severe frost. But good wheat year as very sunny June.

A lot of straw in this area.
Went past a parl of wheat yesterday. I pity the poor pansy on the combine for that spend more time reversing out than going forward
ffs why would i like to move north of the border? 🤷‍♂️ we finished combining, and baling on the 21st of aug down here 🤷‍♂️ , the urban fringe is just grinding me down!

Will you help clear snow?
