How much weight?

Just changed our trailed grassland direct drill for linkage type with alot more discs on it. It is 2.5tons and we have one ton on the front and its a nice match.
However I can see in dry conditions its going to need another 500kg on the drill so 1500kg on the front really. My question is as I only have a 6130r is this too much weight for this size if tractor or would it be ok?
Its got plenty hp its just seems to be a lot of weight for a 4 cylinder as we have a fair bit of roadwork between jobs

Look in the operators manual for the tractor. It should tell you the max chassis loading. Add weight of tractor drill and front ballast and see how far over you are!

You could have weight block you could have on the arms when folded up and when the arms are down or block you could add extra weight to when needed

Halley do you have front linkage , and think about weight transfer when you let drill down , you may overload front axle and lose grip from back end , I made a telescopic weight to balance plough and packomst when lifted , in work it pulled back in on itec . as we overloaded front axle and lost grip at back wheel when plough in work , and made this , you could run a sumo front tyre press about 1000 kg and have box / weight combo so when drill down put tyre packer down would roll between wheels and give you ballast when up.
And door folds down to make a nice seat to sit and have dinner

Nice idea and yes we have front linkage
Tbh drill doesn't take much pulling just alot of ballast to put it in the ground
