on a more serious note, who's bought 185/60r12C 104 / 101N tyres lately - where from and what make?

our little LT85 could do with re-shodding, just the tyres by carrier would do

yes paddington, ive got a ivor williams, i think the model is D120, the one with the small wheels under the frame, yes Avons tyres? Had that from new, bought it about 1999, reson i bought it was at the time i was borrowing my uncles one, best to have your own? and back then our local livestock mart was within easy travelling distance to take in your own stock. All this worked well, that and taking cattle short distances locally, the trouble came to a head, when i dicided to make a trip to hereford to the bull sales? Fine going to the mart, bought a bull, loaded up and set off back home, this was saturday morning, then the trouble started, got to ledbury, first tyre shreeded up, changed that put the spare on, got a bit further, cricklade people on the motorway where flagging me another tyre was smoking, breaking up? Pulled onto a garage front, wondering what to do? I must say we had many kind people come to help us, one local farmer offered to put up the bull while we sorted our trouble out? a kind local tyre man whent back to his premisis and had only 3 new tyres which he fitted, we still had about 50-60 odd miles to go, got on the M25 travelling at just over 30 miles an hour when another tyre whent? Fitted the last new spare and very luckerly limped home?

mine are new,

those little one tend to fail before i ware them out, looked fine but when you get serious weight on them when there about 10 years old they start to go misshapen, all went within a short period after heavy loads on my flat trailer,

on my stock trailer they were fairly worn (still easily legal) but aprox 8/9 years old and tread edges were cracking, rather than wait any longer i replaced them all this year, 8 years is good going and i usually have it fully loaded so did not want one to fail.
