Sarah Everard was murdered whilst walking home from a friends house. Am i wrong in believing that visiting other households during Covid is against the law.
What we are seeing is an erosion of rights the problem is people are too frightened to see it. If you can’t visit friends and relatives or you need a permit to leave the country well doesn’t that seem like Soviet Russia. I am not a believer in the good of top politicians it is basically about power and Covid has given them a chance to really wield power and the police are an implement they are using.

Compliance has given them this power?

Well the old boy clearly doesn't know what time of day it is, so the fault lies entirely with the numbnut who dragged their granddad to the demo.

At a guess, I would think the police would have got him out of there, given him a cuppa and ran him home.

Far more instructive was the sheer number of cameras/camera phones recording the incident to post on to social media.

What a time to be alive

He was protesting against the withdrawal of his personal freedoms.
By quietly walking down the street. Maybe pausing to talk to someone.
Clearly out of his mind!
I mean who would choose to protest that???

Refused to disperse when ordered to, because he was there to protest against such dispersals.
So had to be arrested.
There's no other option, unless you are clutching a candle or a phone torch/protesting for an acceptable reason

He could have happily protested anywhere else in the capital, postcode, country other than CC, nobody would have noticed and his rights would remain intact..

Are you suggesting he did this off his own bat?

Clearly not seeing the number of people crowding around & knowing his age.
Stinks of set up.

I'm suggesting that you or I don't know whether he did or not.
Does it really matter?
A 95 year old man is arrested for walking down the street.
You choose to assume it's a set up.
There are no 95 year olds sane enough to see through this rubbish?
That's a bit ageist!

This was outside Westminster magistrates court where old Eric was supporting Julian Assange. Eric is a life long anti-war protester. According to twitter he was de-arrested and driven home, possibly for his own safety?

Where were the female officers ? do they not exist in the Met force ? It should have been a totally female policed operation, then it would have passed of better for all concerned. London under its current mayor is an international disgrace.
of course there were female police there.
