How to Beat the Criminals?

Am I reading this right? Your daughters are service providers in care. Who give other service providers The police as much hassle as possible For no reason? Hmmm if my nephew did the same purely because of his skin colour I would slap the hell out of him More to the point he would expect me to. Did the old saying you get back what you put in not surface? It’s no secret I have disliked how I’ve been treated by a few police Officers in the past doesn’t mean I’m confrontational as soon as I see one. Have spent plenty of time working in all cities there’s no conspiracies going on

@suffolksmallholder

You really are a piece of work. I know a fair few coppers, including a few in Met, as going into the police was a popular second career choice amongst my former colleagues when their time in the army was done and dusted.

They deal with the absolute fudgeing dregs of society and i've heard anecdotes from them that turn even my stomach, and I say that having completed three tours at the sharp end and seeing some pretty nasty stuff.

Just this year alone:

One mate was on a drugs raid, and when they searched the house they found the remains of two infants in a freezer. Another was on a raid on a knocking shop. First bedroom door goes down, he catches some fat bloke in the act of shagging an 11 year old up the @rse. Another responding to a DV call takes the door down to find a naked woman cowering in the corner of the hallway, with bite marks and cigarette burns on every square inch of her body. Another tried to keep a 14 year old black kid's guts in his body whilst waiting for the paramedics to arrive, having been slashed open with a carving knife.

Could you handle dealing with any of that? I know I couldn't, so next time you kick off about the police you might like to think about just how grim a job it can be. Yeah, there's some bent coppers. There's bent individuals in every line of work, yet you want to tar all with the same brush which is utterly moronic.
Anecdotes,
Have you served? I have, thanks.
I'm trying to resolve a rift in society that you have not attempted to discuss one iota. Mates of mates. We've all got them.
Try to add something constructive apart from anger. I'd appreciate that. Anger is a loosers way.

I did 15 years in the army before injury meant I had to change direction, including three deployments to Afghanistan. Sh!t, if you think the police in this country are some kind of devils you should see what they're like elsewhere. I've seen ANP beating people to a pulp in the middle of the street, on the flimsiest of pretexts.

You have no interest in resolving anything. It's patently obvious from your posts so far that you detest the police, and you'd adopt the viewpoint of any group that sets themselves against them.

No I don't detest the Police I think the force needs a serious overhaul that's all. Read my posts please. Don't jump to conclusions. If we as a society have to move forward together we need to act together. Unlike your abrasive jump into this discussion. If we continue on our current course will see worse.
I have a beef with rural policing in that the farming/rural people are overlooked and I made my point after losing a lifetimes worth of tools in the only way I could. Did you know speed camera operatives in rural areas are often highly experienced ex-police officers? What a waste of a valuable rescource eh. Rural crime is on the increase massively and WTF do speed vans add to the equation. Re-task those experienced men to DO something constructive. Why don't you join the force? I'm assuming by your military service time that you are eligable as you are obviously still quite young. Money where mouth is and all that.
Your attitude is just perfect for negotiating with a disillusioned layer of society. Not. You will have to re-adjust to being kinder, and more caring if we as a race can move forward.
Great that you served in Afghanistan and I'm not knocking your courage but really what a waste. All over opium. Similar Vietnam all over communism and all the vietnamese wanted was to get rid of Westerners robbing them blind

If someone disrespected others just because they are different I would call that racism or a hate crime. But to do it to every police officer just because they are police is just ridiculous. If my children did that they would probably see me leaving my property to the dogs home!

And what exactly are you negotiating?
A level playing field for those in inner city areas where crime is rife, developers gentryfication driving people out of where they live and work and criminality is not such a threat. Youngsters can get a job which is not a zero hour contact and family is the focus. The Apprenticeship scheme is in ruins yet companies complain of a skills shortage. Education is in disarray with overcrowded schools and underfunding and ethnic minorities are harassed by an underfunded police force because neither can talk. Not an easy task for anyone, ever.
No I can't solve everything but we do have to try and we have to start somewhere. Angry @Swarfmonkey posts don't help matey.

Just for clarity, to you expect to get this by wasting the time of retired police officers whilst they are manning safety cameras, or are you engaging with the government as well?

Mmmm, So the stop and search of Bianca Williams and Ricardo dos Santos was intelligence led. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Unintelligence led is perhaps the more appropriate word to use, highliting the actions of a force in turmoil, poorly funded and poorly directed. Now I could go on but I'm bored but will continue to support my daughters as most fathers would. There are some horrendous parents out there who wouldn't.......!
This attitude is why there is such a divide with iner city dwellers and we must change it. There should be a non Police task force dedicated to solely working with minority communities to understand the why's and wherefore's but this is too scary for most people as they need to justify funding for a hard line Police 'force'. It keeps them in work..........

SS

Of course it was intelligence led - it's grossly unfair to claim that police are racist because they stop more black people driving black Mercedes with tinted windows in an area known for drugs and violent crime. As someone has already said here, that's the easy way out. 'Intelligence' in this context means having the experience to recognise criminal hallmarks.

Choice of vehicle says a great deal. Bentley Turbo, you're a Spiv. Rolls Royce, you're a fat cat. Old V-dub camper, a hippy, etc. Blacked-out black Mercedes says you're distinctly dodgy. If you don't want to be treated like a criminal, don't dress up to look like one. Simple.

I was stopped by the police recently (in my old VW camper...). Soon as I heard the whoop and saw the lights behind me, I pulled over. I was polite to the officer, and when asked to step out of the vehicle I did so. Even though my aged parents were on board - not relevant. So I got a polite warning not to break the speed limit again, and was allowed on my way. What I did NOT do was carry on driving, and then refuse to get out and start screaming. I have no sympathy for this couple - they deserved what they got (handcuffs and interrogation) and I'm sick that the Met is now all apologetic. They should be making it clear - when a police officer says stop, you'd better stop. When he says get out, get out. White or black, if you refuse to do as you're told, you're making trouble. That is not racism. It's actually racist to make such an accusation.

The police get a bum deal. We put them on the front line and tell them to catch people breaking the law. It's not their fault that most drug and violent crime around London is committed by young black people. That's our problem and we should deal with it.

Society, ie: all of us, doesn't treat certain people as well as it should. Not just black people, but disabled, poor and old people too. It's an animal fact, not only a white human one. Everywhere in the world, in all species, if for any reason you're weaker than the majority, you get trampled on. A mark of human civilisation is that we try to rise above mere animal instincts and apply a moral standard, but it will always be a battle, because animal instincts are hard to control and some of us are less able than others. Hence we still have the problems of rape, robbery and other forms of discrimination - and we always will.

I would suggest that your otherwise lovely daughters could do with some mature advice, rather than unqualified support in all their opinions. They are probably young, which means impulsive, emotional, easily-led and all the other weaknesses I had myself many years ago. The role of a good parent is to get them to see the other side of a situation, to stay calm and look for practical solutions rather than just being rude to people, any people, who have to do a shitty job.

That's fair enough. Nothing like bribery to keep the children in line. They really do have minde of their own don't you know. Irespective of what you may or may not think, to bludgeon your own children into thinking what you say they should is torture and I'd not wish that on anyone! Wow that's cruelty in its most subtle form. The dogs home it is then.....
