How to Beat the Criminals?

But the majority of these that arrive don’t contribute to the economy. They just live off the welfare teat cradle to grave.

There have been numerous attempts to reform immigration and the social care and welfare systems, all fruitless thus far. I fear government has become too big and too expensive and thus so resistant to any change no difference will be made in my lifetime, I am sure of it.

Mostly true - and probably applies to more whites than blacks. I've got one of them as a tenant and had others before. Just can't be arsed to work, so sit around with luxuries I could never afford and all paid for by me and the rest of us.

But I think the level playing-field thing should at least mean that all competitors get to run from the same start line. White or black, rich or poor, you all start here, shoulder to shoulder. When the gun goes, get a flaming shift on, coz the prizes go to the best. Discrimination means saying to some competitors they have to start further back. Or further forward. Giving anyone an advantage or a handicap because of their race is bad news for society, as it means we end up getting not the best person for the job, which is just another factor that pulls the country down, and gives the edge to those who only select by ability.

I reckon it's society's responsibility to chase everybody up to get them to the level start-line in the best possible shape. These days in the UK we're not doing that. We need to toughen up - but when we do, we just get accused of an -ism. We need to ignore the snowflakes, cut the handouts and get people to take responsibility, but how do you get pigs' snouts out of the trough? Stop putting food in it, maybe.

For crying in a bucket - the taxpayer's now going to fund half-price meals out???? I give up.

There is no equal start line. There are the very rich and the rest of us who must strive to get where we with and be content with our lot I am afraid.

I think it is rather sad SS's daughters feeling it is necessary to be rude to the police. They are obviously intelligent girls and there is a better way. Also, for those who can't get the police out when needed or to do their job. It is simply, "Know your rights".

If you feel your rights have been ignored, keep your mouth shut and go home and do your research. It's probably on Google these days. You can get a body cam very cheaply. Record conversations and play them back later. The law works on evidence and not opinion which is not going to inpress anyone unless backed up with evidence. All the recent cases that have gone viral on social media have done so because there is a record.

The police work for us and if they are not doing their job, for goodness sake complain! If that doesn't work,we have elected representatives in the form of members of Parliament and councillors. They may be unaware that things are going wrong. Sometimes it feels like a waste of time, but sometimes it actually works and the individual can change things. I can't see that it does either side much good to come on here and have a rant unless it is to relieve the pressure! You don't win an argument by shouting at those who don't agree with you.

Sorry to slightly hijack the thread but
Local tea leaves are back doing rounds again,

Anybody suggest good security cameras,
could do with 6 Around the house,

ones that Can send An alert to The phone,or can watch off the phone?even two way speaker so ,can throw some abuse there way.

Also would need to be able to record it,and have a clear enough picture to see the feckers and what cars there driving.
Any suggestions ?

Cheers

I looked at them, but I don’t really want to spend a lot of money videoing someone that’s robbing me.

We just got a ring doorbell, and it’s very good, will add a couple of their cameras to that.

... Did you know speed camera operatives in rural areas are often highly experienced ex-police officers? What a waste of a valuable rescource eh....
The issue there is the bit in bold - they are no longer police officers therefore not in a position to do other police work! Besides which, is speeding not a crime? Does excess speed not lead to significant injuries & death - often to entirety innocent third parties? Having lost tools & equipment to thieves, but also having had to deal with the consequences of of a call at 3 am regarding a close family member... I don't begrudge the use of speed/safety cameras one iota.

whats people thoughts on electric gates as we have two two lanes in and out off the place and a couple of field gates but they are closed and blocked with logs all year and there is not other places you could get any machines out with a lot of hassle as there a big banks ditches and forestry on the road side

We have an electric pole barrier its great for stopping any one just driving in and having a look. Its not secure enough on its own but with a gate locked on a night. An idiot crashed through our hedge one night and tried to get out without stopping lifted the pole and broke it but didnt see the gates padlocked behind the barrier and on cctv so was stuck there till i let him out!. Claimed off him for the hedge and mending the barrier!
