How to fit an hrs meter to a drying fan

as the tittle suggest I want to monitor how many hrs our fan runs for. It's wired in via humidity stats so it starts and stops as it pleases. I can keep reading the meter but I'm not sure that's the most accurate way to do it, any other suggestions?

I think you can get ones that operate with vibration

If you get a 230 volt one, check there is a neutral at the fan starter, or else you will be trying to run it on 400 volts which is less than ideal.

Thanks everyone, turns out to be easier than I thought.

Going to wire in an old school non LCD meter to the feed wire from the switch, should do the job and if off for periods of time / power cut will retain info
