No.
Ongoing clinical trials have proven that sympathy actually makes the symptoms worse :dead::sneaky:;)

My father proved that theory when we were children:facepalm: Mum would be telling us that we were not that ill so could go outside to play, go to school etc., which we did. Dad would come in and say "Oh, she's not looking well poor thing, her eyes are all sunken and she is looking peaky" in a certain voice and we would immediately feel so much worse because Dad obviously knew best:rolleyes: :D :D He never learned:love::love:

My now gone father in law always told me there was an absolutely sure fire way with a bad cold , but it meant taking to your bed . First of all put a litre of decent whisky on your bedside table , then take to your bed . You then , this is most important , pull up the clothes until your big toe sticks out at the bottom . you then start on the whisky , and keep at it until your big toe fades from view . You then settle back and wait for it to go away of it's own accord . Well, that's what he said anyway.

Raw milk & yogurt, decreased grain consumption and increase in veg.

Dont confuse flu with a bad cold. The flu you wont get out of bed a cold you have a runny nose and feel terrible however they are not the same. Vit C also a waste of time as the body cant store vit C so it needs to be consumed slowly throughout the day.

also beechams is another complete con. Its powdered paracetamol with vit C. If you buy a pack of ibuprofen, paracetamol and over the counter sinutab you'll get better results. Also use of a water based nasal spray called Sterimar from Boots keep the nose tissue damp and prevents germs also good for clearing catarrh and blocked nose
