How to spread topsoil

After a few building projects we have accumulated a fair pile of topsoil, which I would ideally like to spread back on the adjacent field after harvest.

Has anyone used a vertical beater muckspreader to do this,or are flying stones a risk too far?
I have thought about using a dump trailer and a 360 excavator, but i think that would be slower and less precise?

Thoughts please.

My first instinct was a muck spreader. It seems the most logical method.

I guess if you're concerned about stones could the soil could be screened first?

What is the concern with the stones? Damage cause by a flying stone hitting something/someone? If the spreader kept a reasonable distance from any such objects that could be hit could be made safe enough?

Dead slow on the bed and half revs or less if there aren’t and stones bigger than a house brick

Yes it is possible to put it through muckspreader done thousands of tons . Through our Rollands from soil out of a ditch , ponds , lakes , Screenings from potatoes and sugar beet soil It’s the quickest way to wear a muck spreader OUT it’s horrendous on the machine do not load it all the way up.
little and often loads.
