A person acclimated to -25 will easily wear a tshirt at -10.
Perhaps the issue isn’t so much that damp cold is so cold, it’s that it’s so rarely cold enough for long enough in the UK for anybody to adjust to it. I’d have no issue coming from a -25 Canadian winter to a -2 UK one and feeling balmy. No matter the weather. What’s the tip - stay dry, stay warm?
