We had a 150,sure there's one biggerThink they made 2 sizes. 100 which was a wheelbarrow and later a 150 which is equivalent to 5 yard ish
There was also a 1550 but think it was same as 150.We had a 150,sure there's one bigger
Just looked it up, a 250 was 8 cu yardThere was also a 1550 but think it was same as 150.
There’s probably been some collaborations over the years and obviously the later Dowdeswell were bigger
What brands are you considering?toying with new side flinger spreader but don't know what my my old rotospreader was to compare like/like....anyone know m3 capacities?

We used to borrow a hispec if needed and it was geared faster. Took more power but emptied twice as fast.fleming ms700.....measured my old howard and I reckon it's no bigger
found drum measurements in conor brochure
don't think I'll bother as wanted something bigger....but ms does have more chains....quicker emptying???
Done the first job with my MS1000, (which is actually a 9-9.5 cubic yard)the other day. Would empty this light fluffy stuff In about a minute.fleming ms700.....measured my old howard and I reckon it's no bigger

200 later called 250 but I think they were the same.We had a 150,sure there's one bigger
Had a Hispec 1000,looked chunky but after owning it for a while the corners they cut in manufacturing became apparent.A Marshall is a much better machine. We used to borrow a hispec if needed and it was geared faster. Took more power but emptied twice as fast.
what hp on it?Done my first

Seems geared for decent emptying time.
It's got the slurry plates on the chains that mean it really tears into stuff.
Didn't seem to be that hard to start, for the Case Farmall 115. One load I got very carried away and it took a bit of starting. But kept the starters a bit clear after that and no problem. Load in the picture was no problem at all. For FYM Ill leave a bit more clearance for the starters I think.
115, I think manufacturers recommendation is 95what hp on it?
Of all the farm machines, you wouldn't think there was much difference. A barrel with some chains flying round doesn't sound very technical does itHad a Hispec 1000,looked chunky but after owning it for a while the corners they cut in manufacturing became apparent.A Marshall is a much better machine.
You wouldn't think so , but the Hispec is cr**Of all the farm machines, you wouldn't think there was much difference. A barrel with some chains flying round doesn't sound very technical does it
