Hunting.....what's the point?

Just had a quick look at a few online newspapers and they are all covering the anti hunting demonstrations which have taken place today.

I have no objection to people participating in a legal activity, however what's the point? Could they not just go to the pub and have a gathering like normal people, rather than getting all dressed up, shouting in posh accents and leaving gates open, like they have done on our land today.

I don’t think you can legally do either.

Local hunt here went romping around the pre arranged fields without the hounds. It was just a pointless, glorified rotorvating session as far as I could see

We have a local shoot (all wild birds) that shoot every other wk , then moan they are only shooting single figures

Friends had a shoot today of feathered vermin next door to local shooting estate. They did rather well.

We contract farm a local farm that has 1 shoot a year and it’s always a 100+ bird day .

If you go down the pub and talk to the landlord as I've been talked to in the past on my own land then you'd be barred for life.
