Hybrid rye

Im thinking about planting some hybrid rye for chopping late spring for dry cows before doing a reseed.

Can it be grown from saved seed or will it not germinate properly? Also will it grow OK in a high rainfall area.

Yes, yes.
Where are you getting the seed from? They say it won’t produce enough of a grain but I put 4.5acre if SU Drive and 4.5acre of KWS Magnifico in a field and it did 3.3t/acre grain and 3t/acre straw. That seed did also grow well

Other option is Westerwolds then overseed later next year
