The levers on my McConnel digger have so much play in them that at times you think they aren’t connected to the valve chest!
There are bushes that can be replaced but they cost a small fortune and replacing them doesn’t make a lot of difference.
I’ve enclosed a diagram of the lever assembly, it shows the levers and actuating rods that connect to the valve chest.
Is there another way of working 2 valve slices with one lever as now but without all the linkages that suffer from wear?

Fix the joints ,ie weld washer on to take out slack or make new ones ,plenty on here with cnc cutters etc
If you look at part no 28 it has three ball joints that goe into a plastic bush which is pressed into part 29! There’s a lot of wear on the ball and replacing the bush at £11 each makes no difference.

How about finding a breaking old school 3c digger and getting the back hoe controls off it. Worked well on a lime spreader grab at place I worked at a few years back
