Well worth checking out Kramp's website for ram components.. their price for a machined chrome piston rod and even a matching piston doesn't look too bad , and would save time waiting for the machine shops. Just weld the end on or buy a new one and back to work.

does anyone know of a good company to just buy the ram seals from ? Preferably with a good website to pick out the ones you want?

I use Benbrit Engineers at Cheriton Bishop just off the A30 North of Exeter http://www.benbrit.co.uk/

No parts detail on their website but super helpful if you call them. They resealed the main mast ram from my old Bonser forklift, unusual imperial seals and they got them overnight at very reasonable price. They make rams too.

It's sad to see JG go. He's been a godsend to us over the years. Hope he enjoys his retirement.
We have now started using Hydrapower at York. A bit dearer than JG but still do a good job. Worst thing is it's an hour and a half round trip.

Always amazes me how much stuff they have in there at Hydrapower, they've never failed me yet.

Shame they're in the middle of nowhere!
