I have i ram which could do with a spruce up Rod is appox 2" and has approx stroke of 30". Could anyone tell what i would expect to pay to get a new rod put in and fresh seal?? TIA

Last year we did a 1.2m 40mm rod on a bed tiller.
Bought a lenght of bright steel, cut it down to length, turned a thread on both ends.
One for the eye and one for the seal, match seal with the seal company and all done for £90
You dont say if your ends were weld on or not.

These guys have just made a new casing for manitou compensation ram for £280

And currently making new casing for tilt ram on same machine for £420

all painted resealed and pressure tested as well.

I have used these chaps to recon rums in the past if the rod is not pitted they will have it dechromed and put a new tube on the old end's
