Valerie , I also have Orwell planted which may have bigger ears but not the number of ears that the Valerie has , looking forwards to cutting it

Hmmm haven’t measured it but it’s waist height to me and I’m 6 foot tall, not the tallest around but at least it’s still upright

To be honest I give it a 20 % chance of standing with the forecast we have for the next few days

I'm just heading of out the door for a little trip east to see my partner , it will be interesting to see how their barley has faired , some useful looking barley around Stamford , some shite rape tho. ;-)

I have some Bazooka which has had 3 robust growth regs but it looks extremely vunerable!!!

Only got 4 miles and found a field of 2 row which has decided to start going down , not enough pgr i would guess

Mine is about 90cm tall and a decent looking crop but the grain is only just starting to fill so it's not too top heavy yet. We didn't get much rain so I hope mine will be ok. Plenty of pgr. Plenty of fresh potash.

It's ok, you don't need PGRs they cause a yield loss anyway. Anyone who does is a chemical manufacturer puppet....

You would be pretty mental to grow barley without I reckon if you use any qty of N

There are alternatives though, I have no barley to go down !
