We had an issue with the combine this harvest when we stopped in the middle of the day to blow down then it wouldn’t start again. Main dealer said their best bloke was just up the road so sent him over to have a look and diagnosed a new starter needed! After 2 hour drive next morning (bank holiday weekend) to pick new starter up, had a mate lined up to fit it as dealers were to busy.
He took one look and found a broken wire on starter..... crimped it back together and away she went.
£80+/hr v £30/hr..... you do wonder!!!

Took the plunge and bought this. I hate adjustables so hey, we'll see.

If anybody is planning to buy from FFX ,,dont ,they have closed all distribution till further notice
COVID-19 and FFX
Covid-19 & FFX

I looked on there whilst checking prices and stock availability, and used a company called ITS for the first time this week.
Competitive prices and next day delivery. Still business as usual for them.

Will deffo be using them again, and I'm not affiliated in any way (y)

I know they have a good reputation, which is why I bought mine, but...I don't like them! I find them finicky to adjust & the travel from fully open to closed is too small. £57 too - I'd have been disappointed if they had been only half that(n)

I really like them. Not a substitute for real pliers, just like adjustables. But nonetheless a very handy tool to have lying around in the tractor. You can even do jubilee clips with them.
