Sounds like the ideal workshop (y)

As a kid, when we were in Kings Cross Station dad always used to say "this would make an ideal bale shed"
The shed next door (St P.) has much more height and a lot less in the way to hit, not to mention the under croft being an ideal workshop space; as a bonus the rubble from demolishing the red monstrosity at the front would also do quite nicely for repairing a few farm tracks....

I have a portamig like that one but a bit bigger. A lovely mig when working but it's in the menders for the second time with no more than 6-7 spools of wire through it. Not happy as they were well recommended on the welding forum

That's disappointing, I've heard good things about Portamigs and they're British built as well.

Which one ,the big sliding chop model or the hand held 190mm ,,if its the hand held ,,its bloody brilliant ,got one back in summer ,I rarely use the mains one now

Yes the hand held 190mm(y), it looks fantastic, no reason to think it won't be! ;)

I do really fancy that battery sliding chop saw, I've got the big mains one, thats a hell of a saw, wouldn't/couldn't be without it! But that battery one would be right handy at times. I almost had a go at one in an auction, I didn't realise how much they were at the time:rolleyes:, always a gamble at auction though.

This was the scene of my workshop when I finished on Christmas eve. Decided it was maybe time for a tidy up and a virtual tour if anyone's interested.

First job was finding a place for the rolling tool. It'll only get used 2 or 3 times a year and I've nowhere dry to keep it so up it went!
IMG_8236.JPG

It only took 4 days but I did eventually find the workbench top.
