That idea came from visiting a workshop of a one man band set up in south korea last october, i was with a very well none john deere parts specialist on a 10 day trip looking around tractor dealerships, the one man band setup would put all john deere main dealerships to shame, he his one if not the best spanner man i've ever met, it was a trip off a life time to go to korea

Very impressed so far. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Nice chunky cast base, not pressed tin etc.
Even came with some spare brushes. Maybe only £2 worth but at least they bothered.

I have the model down and it does have the pressed tin base and the cuts arnt perfect but its small compact cheap and lightweight which is ideal for what i wanted
I will get one the same as yours one day
But for now the little ones perfect and blades are a tenner from screwfix
I also have the circular saw and have cut 6mm sheet mild steel with it and with a little bit of set up it gave a very good accurate cut
And i have the blue magdrill the drill itself is good for the money but the oil pot is junk need binning out the box and something better fitted

i was thinking you werent a million miles from when you mentioned weans but when you mentioned the scrappy i was sure.:)
has anyone used one of these?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-GG...345079&hash=item1ed8f5e3d1:g:0tcAAOSwd1lacYl4

I only have space for a small compressor at home and a die grinder eats air like no-ones business.
what else is out there, thats if you havnt jumped already.
i have a dremmel here that was a gift, it wouldnt strike you as a super quality product and i dont use it too often as id normally run the air ones but times id have it out, so far its held up fairly wekk, the flex cors was acting the buck a bit last time but its 10+ yrs old now.
the newer ones may be worth looking at, most of the jobs are finite anyways so your not going to need a luder of a thing to be work with.
unless your looking to rasp out 10-20mm holes in plate, the dremmel wouldnt be too fond of that id imagine.

as said, the minimum Ah battery id buy now is 4Ah, 5 and above preferably, you pay for what you get in a battery.
i liked bosch when it wasnt in a Lbox, have a right few tools in it, of late ive been buying milwauke cordless, they seem to have higher specs than the same offerings from others.
that may be of no help at all but its just what ive experienced.
I keep threatening to make a bending jig for my press anyone made anything similar?
wouldnt be too hard to make up, there are a few takes on the tube on them.
at some point i have to make one but i want it to be 50" wide.
i picked up a mtr of the bottom square on a press, an offcut iirc.
it has all the V's in it youd want, iirc i paid 70 quid for it, i use it on the iron worker.
my plan is to sit a similar v block onto a thick enough plate, have two decent guide bars on t either side, make up a pair of bushes to slide on the rods and weld my top bar to them.
@50" i have a 300x50 lth of steel here that might do the job but you would need a lot less...
i was planning on milling a rebate in it and picking up some euro tooling maybe.
alas the press makings is in about 100 pieces so i wont be doing that any time soon but like i say, there is videos on the tube of different flavors.

You are as well using a spray bottle, no waste and works when upside down etc.

I made this up for my press, a bit of bucket edge and some 50mm box. It works ok sometimes.
I had some springs to lift the edge up after I released the press, but they were nowhere near man enough. Using the round shoulder on the box makes a nice smooth bend, then I drop angle iron the box to make a sharp edge if I want a crisper bend.
It needs an adjustable stop if you want any sort of repeatability.
Its on on narrow stuff, but anything wide it’s very hard to stop one side going deeper than the other, so the bend would not be even.

I think if I made Mk2 the round tubes would be different, with massive springs and some kind of adjustable depth stop each side so bending was consistent. Then I’d put in a stop for the workpiece so I could get repeatability.

Well I think my tool shopping list is quite long and woundering what you would recommend for the following as I has 3 sheds to do up for bull beef will post pictures
Magnetic drill
Cordless impact driver x2 large and small
Bit driver
Cordless grinder
Cordless SDS drill possible
Inverter welder
Demolition hammer
Cement mixer
Metal chop saw or band saw
Erbaur 17kg demolition hammer from Screwfix is a good tool, less than £200, mine has broken a lot of concrete this last 12mths and I don't see I'd be better off with a £900 DeWalt version

To be fair, I'd better say that the first one developed a fault after about 2 weeks intensive use, where it sent nearly as much energy upwards as downwards, but Screwfix changed it next day and replacement has been absolutely fine, despite some serious work breaking 6" concrete and concrete mass stanchion foundations.

Unwrapped this today, arrived during the week, courtesy of @REStracTORATION (y) , he had them on an offer that was hard to refuse I thought. Should make getting the wheels of big stuff much easier.
Not put it all together yet, as I’ve got no room to keep it at the moment, in an assembled state, buy it all looks good, nice big castors, very smooth rollers, and a reasonably strong frame that should do the job well.
So, thank you very much @REStracTORATION
