I hate rust!

I've been tackling the worst of the rust on the 716, I knew the mudguards were bad but nothing prepared me for the extent of the tin worm the shot blasting reviled.
Pictures are after the new metal was welded in.

I should send you our old CASE MAXXUM it's needing the same treatment.

Did you make the replacement parts yourself or buy them?

Happy with the result a good coat of stone chip on the underside and the seams sealed with seamsealer, the mudguards are part of the cab so can't be replaced the new panels are just sheet metal welded on the underside of the original structure (not by me) and I filled the holes and tried to recreate the shape the welds and holes destroyed, bonnet then wheels next year, trying a pair of those cheap £15 eBay led's so far very happy although time will tell.
Winter roadwork does kill tractors, it does the winter gritting and snow ploughing but the mudguards were in poor condition before I started with that, the road stones chip the paint then the salt gets in.
