Commercial property must be on a knife edge, many businesses have found in lockdown they can operate successfully with most staff working from home. As matters stand high street shops have large business rates to pay and have found in lockdown they can operate successfully on line so presumably more with head to an online warehouse type operation to compete thus reducing demand for high street shops. Presumably best arable land will remain in demand at high rents but what of the marginal areas without support and an anti-red meat agenda coming out of Westminster?I wonder has that started to happen with commercial properties yet? As Covid I think will be the final nail in a lot of the high street shops, and I think our councils have put a lot of their money (our money) into shopping centres too
